Pretty much at the last moment, the canned Lion operators published a seriously ridiculous report and threatened to challenge the Government in court if they persisted with the ban and the spineless SOBs in the Government backed down and took Lion off the list with the excuse they didn't consider captive Lions to be large predators............. quite how they work that one out, I simply don't know.

The current situation is a little bit in limbo but hopefully the act will be amended to ban such practices.

Whilst I'm not for a moment suggesting it's true, there's also a lot of rumours that some of these captives are mysteriously migrating across some of the SA borders.

You wouldn't think a Lion in a cage could manage to migrate would you?
