Re: client refused a 100 pounder, see picture

Our friend Herr der Jaeger said it all.
It's what we call a "monopoint", a unitusk, a one-tusked old old bull.
The good news come from Shakari : if the bull is impeded by age, he would stay at the same place along a river. My bet is that this elephant is doomed, a so easy to find target.
I wish that Arnaud could send us the picture of the trophy.
Of course there is no BS with Arnaud.
In fact he is a young PH struggling (as his fellow Francois) to get more known and asked by hunters.
Tawisa is a unique example of outfit. They have tremendous territories in Tanzania and hunt hardly half of the areas. Moreover they used well known old hands PH like Tony Sanchez Arhino and others well known by the french. This politicy is extremely expensive. Just to have an idea of the cost of a hunt (no less than 3 weeks) count on 100 k$ just for the fun of being present in the camp, airfares not included. For this price you'd have to pay your alcoholic drinks too.
Then if you want to hunt, you've to pay the trophy fees, the taxes....., but at the official price only. No extra-fees.
Consequently, this outfit caters for happy fews only.
In fact, Arnaud is offering us dream only, he half opens the curtain of sheer dream.
Another drawback is the prominency of the hunters. Most of them refuse to have their pictures aired.
That's why Arnaud and Francois are so eager to communicate when they are allowed.
For example a rare photo of a 100 pounder

shot with Tawisa (PH de Grossouvre) by the world ski champion Luc Alphand.

from Francois Lyonnet

2 pictures from Francois, 2 42lbs elephants, tusks 1.80m and 1.90m.
