Someone help me in my ignorance-- Is "point of the V" the base of the neck on a charging Buff? is it under the chin? So someones PH suggests the first shot on a charging animal to be at the base of the neck, then the nose as the animal gets closer?? Or is the point of the V the chest cavity and the heart between the legs?? Should we be talking about the "point of the A", with the crossbar of the A the lower chest of the charging animal? If the animal is charging putting a round through his heart may kill him--4-5 minutes after he stomps and horns you to death!! Going for the base of the neck may be a better alternative.More bones to impact--the cervical vertebrae, the spine, both, plus the possibllity of concussive forces shocking the spinal cord from close shots!! Sorry to be so particular about such things but I want to be able to take the best shot should a charging situation ever occur!! |
