I would keep the shooting range at 100 meters max & take any of the 2-inch grouping rifles and feel confident. The key is consistent & reliable accuracy with a cold barrel or a dirty barrel. If you can get that first shot into the middle of the 2-inch group you should have any critter in the bag.

No I do not have experience with big bores rifles & hunting dangerous game. However, I would feel confident with my Simson 9.3X62 & the various loads that group about 1.5 inches.
