I'm a big fan of premium bullets but I used to have great luck with the 105g Speer Spitzer in my .243 Rem 700. I used it on deer, elk and black bear before gun writers convinced me I needed more gun lol. Actually it was moving into grizzly country that got me to upgrade to a 270. I used to get 3000 fps out of a 22" barrel using IMR 4350 and Rem 9 1/2M primers with Rem brass. Back when I was shooting my 243 (late 60s early 70s) Nosler only made semi-spitzers in 100g so I didn't use them.
