I think Namibia is limtited in Plainsgame species, and I would never hunt Leopard there as the success rate is low by comparison...but its cheap...and like all things one gets about what he pays for in the Safari business... For Leopard, Zimbabwe and Tanzania is the place to score, and it cost more, but most folks that have gotten Leopard in Namibia or RSA have gone 2 to 5 times before they had success....so maybe Zim and Tanz are not so expensive..... For Plainsgame I would go to RSA, where trophy quality is very good and they have 36 species of game to hunt, and RSA pricing is the same as Namibia...I would find a company with large holdings of land. I book in RSA, Tanz, Zim, Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique and Zambia, so I have no agenda, so I am expressing only my personal opinnion, as to your question.. Relax, your going through the same rigors of every first time African hunter, so just be sure you don't let it lead you astray, keep your choices simple and don't put cost first and foremost on your list or you may meet with dissapointment...go the middle road...Good luck and have a great hunt... |
