I'm having a heck of a time trying to make some plans...as someone here said, "the more I read about safari, the more confused I become..". My brother and I want to take my parents (observers)with us on our first safari. Prior to actually hunting, we will be doing some sightseeing/tourist stuff that will depend on what area we end up in (park tours, etc.). The hard part is choosing the hunt. I would kind of like a leopard. We do want to take Kudu, Gemsbok and Impala...One thing important to me is no Put and Take. I want the animals born and bred on the land we are hunting. I really like what I've read about Namibia vs RSA. Would it be a good idea to book a 14-day leopard hunt and hope to pick up some of the plainsgame during that time? Better off just to do the Namibia plains game hunt and save leopard for next time? I realize lots of questions here...guess I'm hoping someone has a recommendation for a hunt of this type that my parents would enjoy being on also. We do like the idea of more remote/less "modernized" camps. Thanks to anyone who throws in a comment or two. dave |
