If they can loose two rifles in a gun case, they can also loose just one too! Insurance is the safeguard, just in case.
I have had safaris with just one rifle, either a .30-06 or a .375 and safaris with two.
Indeed, insurance is the safegaurd. And taking two rifles is no more hassle than one, but you have your own insurance, if you have chosen prudently, since each rifle will be capable for all game you wish to hunt should one go "tits up."
