Wow. Love the old dugga boys.

I'm guessing your Blaser 9.3x62 (?) was used on everything?

Adam,
For a moment I thought this was the same trip you reported on a while ago but had just got back from it. Just the same, somehow I get the feeling you take longer safaris than the former Prince of Wales did.

Re: Mozambique Safari gone well.

They have been upgrading their main camp for a few years now.
Has almost every modern convenience you could want, but if yo don't want that they have two basic camps or you could just take swags for a night or two.

Their Pemba Beach Lodge is a great place to spend some time before and after Safari.

Looks like a great outfitter to use. At least for a dip in the pool.

Congratulations Adam on blending work and play in the lifestyle you choose. Not many get to do that in a lifetime but you have made it happen.

Not too far out on a reef by the look of it mid distance.

Re: Mozambique Safari gone well.

The tide drops real fast right out to the reef a couple klms out. and sometimes there is surf there. But due to Madagascar off the coast they don't get much.
As the tide comes in across the warm sand it makes the water quite nice for swimming( 26'c plus in winter).

Re: Mozambique Safari gone well.

Looks great for Bonefish on the flats but I doubt they have a chance with all the natives.
I heard deep water fishing out at Lazarus Banks is quite good, but any spar $ went into Trophy fees.

I suppose you mean the water, Kamilaroi. I'm not much for hot weather either but my guess is it was quite pleasant. I was there straight afterwards, in September '09, and even where we hunted (85km inland from Pemba), 35C was about as hot as it got.
