Rugers, as a rule, are very good value for the money.
Plus, Bill Ruger was a great guy!
I applaud any American gunmaker who markets an English style falling block - Ruger No.1 - and a true magnum length bolt action - M. 77 Magnum. Proving to the others (Winchester take note) that there is a market for such sporting weapons.
They do what they are intended for - just don't be tempted to compare them with guns higher up in the market - not that a custom Ruger wouldn't be a fab rifle.
