I have a pair of .350 Remingtons and a .35 Whelen. There is zero difference in the chamberings in the field. For Elk Hunting I would suggest A Barnes X. There is a 180 grain (great for deer) and also 200 and 225 grain. My choice would be the 225. Make positive to use Barnes CRP-10 to clean the barrel before sighting in you handloads. The Barnes bullets are very picky about having a bore clean of all copper residue as the alloy of the X is pretty soft. |
