CZ is selling the hell out of 9,3X62 550 Americans, plastic followers and all. Ruger could kick their ass with a 9,3X62 Hawkeye, IMO. True enough. I'm new here {but not new to shooting irons} and a great site it is! Bravo to the Management!! I too am another wondering why Ruger didn't just do what it should have and released a lighter, "tailored-to" rifle for the 9,3x62. Alas, typical American marketing. Wasn't the plethora of meaningless, new, semi-proprietary cartridges part of the reason for the demise of Winchester? CZ is proving the point that the American public CAN swallow a 9,3 round, and like the taste of it! I do not own a x62, just two x57's, but I would have applauded Ruger if they had spun out a dandy x62. Might have bought one, too. As it is, I have a 4-shot SAKO Finnbear that doesn't need a .375 cousin. |
