Sorry for misunderstaning your post - for me, the .375 and 9.3x62 killed about the same on North American big game up to moose and elk - virtualy no difference. Of course, there was little difference in the ballistics. I was shooting 270gr. from the .375H&H at 2,740fps and 270gr. Speers from the 9.3x62 at 2,675fps - only 65fps differene = no difference. ; I did not use the low powered factory-type ammo as in the 1920's loaded stuff - 286gr. at 2,320fps or so, but on game, it too is probably very similar to the .375 factory ammo. Only on really heavy game like buffalo or elephant, might there be a difference, maybe not. : The late Finn Agaard said as much - little or no diff. on game. |
