I`m thinking on a wildcat cartridge.

the tough way, take the .404, shorten it a little bit to say 68 mm, neck it down to 8mm and give it a good shoulder, the brass can either be original .404 Jeffrey brass, or basic brass as that gives me the the chance to make the name on the round myself.

The simple way, take the Dakota round neck it down to 8mm and be happy with it, call it 8mm/375 Dakota.

The even simpler way , take the .375 Ruger and neck that down.

Suit the rifle to use 170 grain to 250 grain bullets.


So am i completely on the field of lunacy or isit a doable project this one, its just in the thinking box so it wont happend in a awhile.
