I assume all of us have more guns for non-DG game than DG.

The majority of such rifles may be bolts because they are cheaper than Doubles/Single shots/Lever actions--

I assume the push feed would be more common than bolts with CRF unless the rifles were old modified mauser actions.

My personal favorite deer rifle for carrying around is a synthetic Browning SS A bolt. Someone mentioned this gun previously.I really enjoy a Steyr SBS carbine for stand hunting.

A cheap gun that I grew up shooting with was a the previously discontinued Rem 788 carbine. Bought it for $125.It has the rear lugs and is a tack driver.It has killed alot of deer but isn't used because of a problem with the safety.Had a buddie that grew up shooting a 303 Enfield jungle carbine.Ugly but a what a deer killing machine!
