I think you'll have a time coming up with 338 Imperial brass, especially long-term, and I'd pass on that rifle because of that one issue.

It's tough to really beat the 338 Win. Mag., all things considered. I don't have any trouble exceeding 2700 fps. with 250s in my pair of 338 Win. rifles, and I get 2850 fps. out of 225s. Quite honestly, I don't think you need more speed, and it you can't efficiently hit and kill whatever you're hunting with a 338 Win. Mag., you're not going to do it with anything else, either.........
