Friends in Germany.

I have an idea to visit some gunshops in Germany. Can anyone tell me what firearm purchase regulations are for visitors?

Specifically, I wanted to buy a Blaser barrel in a caliber not available in the US. Here in the US, the barrels are not regualted by our Firearms laws, in the need for background clearance, etc.

What is the rule in Germany? If I see a barrel, may I buy it and take it with me?

I am not worried about the mechanics of bringing it back to the US, just about the German side of things.
