I own two 300's. One is the 300 Win Mag the other is the 300 RUM. I'm going Black Bear hunting in Aug up in Canada and I'm taking both for the hunt. I have the Win zeroed at 25yds.
The RUM zeroed at 100 yds. So if they put me over bait, the Win is ready. If they put me looking at bait 100 yds away. I 'll have the RUM. Any way you look at it the bear is mine.

At least thats how I feel.

The 300 mag is a very versatile rifle here in the states.
