Well, I am fortunate enough to have two .318 Accelerated Express rifles by Westley Richards. They are both takedowns, one a barrel takedown and one a detachable stock takedown. I have only just recently connected with a set of dies and some bullets but I have shot a few boxes of original Kynoch ammo in 250 grain soft and solid. The rifles shoot wonderfully and feel as comfortable to carry and shoot as they are beautiful to look at. Offhand at around 75 paces I am getting around a 3 inch group using the mounted Lyman 35 peep and the standard sights on the other. They both carry express sights and I have yet to try and reach out with the 500 yard leaf. The recoil "feels" stout but the light barrel and slim stocks would account for that. If you don't have on get one or have one built. They are a very fine caliber to shoot. |
