Hello, my first post here, a new guy at all big game hunting, planning to get to Africa within a year or so. Just wondering if anyone here has experience wuth the 338 Sabi? I am planning to have Sabi build a rifle for me and I like the specs on that round, basically the 318 WR, but at a lower pressure. I am in the United States, so it is a reload only proposition, and I don't reload but I can always start ![]() Also, if I were to start reloading for the Sabi, about how much life can you get from the brass? I would need to know how much to order along with the rifle. Would the powders used in developing the loads by Sabi in South Africa be available in the states? Just trying to get a handle on the feasability of the 338 Sabi over the 338-06 which is now a factory cartridge. I love the idea of an African developed cartridge in an African made rifle and I like the idea of the lower pressure, so I hope I can make it work. Best regards, Benny |
