My story is similar to yours. I was getting my first gun and we were off to the dealer to get a new model 2. It was approx $80 and that was about 2 weeks of after tax pay for me. Just about to take it when the dealer pulls out a brand new Walther with the factory target. Now the BRNO was nice but this thing was beautiful !! $120 so three weeks pay. Dad saw the look in my eye and said that I could have it and pay him off but I went for the BRNO - still regret not buying that Walther. Anyway dad took a shine to the new gun and offered me the model 1 for a lower price so I took it. I was happy with the decision and he still tells me I got the better gun.
