I have a cute little Marlin carbine in 44 Mag that I would like to take to a drive boar hunt here in Europe. Is this a good idea? Most pigs are small, but a few can reach over 400 pounds. A few days ago I took my scoped BLR 308W to a big hunt (31 hunters, many dogs) but all the pigs killed were under 100 pounds and shot inside 30 meters, so I got this 44 Mag idea... Your comments are very wellcome.
