If I wanted a hottie .22 centrefire it should be a sensible .22/250 but instead would be the vintage .220 Swift.

Other than roos imo these have no hunting purpose. Yes long range "varminting" but little hunting purpose. A smaller medium calibre, .243, .25, 6.5 all do better.

Ultra fast .22s destroy meat and fur on rabbits and foxes.
