Now THAT was an impressive round with a Shilen barrel on a 98 Mauser. The .25/06 has quite the boiler room for a small bore.
I've reloaded for a couple friends who have them..yes, lots of boiler room ..
Have always prefered the .257Weatherby ..not in a Weatherby rifle, as I am not a fan..have tried many..just not for me as to fit and accuracy.. but the cartridge kicks ass..
Have taken many antelope,, mule deer, coyotes, etc with that caliber.. 100gr Barnes TSX at 3670fps.. they never know what hit them..
