Perhaps try this on my Baial .45/70 DR. I'm not totally happy with the open sights on it.

Also I feel a red dot sight Ike this makes a lot of sense on a double rifle. As ones eye sight lessens.

The idea of replacing the rear express sight on a vintage Dr with one with grooves may extend their use another 10 or 20 years!

As I have whined previously, I wish they offered triangle dots.
