Well as I understand it, Dakota Arms was bought by the Remington Group as Dakota Arms did a lot of work for the Remington Custom Shop. Then Remington went bankrupt and the various companies under its umbrella got sold off. Last I heard Parkwest Arms bought all of the Dakota Arms equipment etc and is operating out of Sturgis, South Dakota. Not positive but I read somewhere that they are actually operating out of the same location that was previously the Dakota Arms shop.

Now take this all with a grain of salt as I may not have completely accurate information.

I have a Dakota chambered in .330 Dakota and it is a really nice rifle. Accurate and a pleasure to pack around.
