The model 71, looks just about identical to my "new" Pedersoli model 1886/71 in .45/70 (African Version).

All joking aside, the model 71 Winchester was a terrific rifle and ctg. My Wolf Publishing Wildcat Rifles and Ctgs. has an article and data on the .348 IMP, along with of course, the .450 Alaskan and .50 Alaskan, both barreled and chambered on model 71 rifles by Harold Johnson of Cooper's Landing Alaska.
