Not the most typical topic of discussion but I've got a question I need help with. I'm thinking about building a 300 Ackley and I want to do it more along the lines of classic rifle. I want a true magnum length action for 2 reason. The obvious that the magnum length will allow the bullet to be seated out of the powder column to allow the big case to work. Secondly, the weight will be appreciated. So my question is this. Of the magnum length actions who is actually the longest? I know the Granite Mountain length. I don't know Satterlee. I don't know Brevex. Id rather not use a BRNO 602 as the arent quite the svelte looker of a true mauser. Does anyone know how long Dakota/PArkwest actions can be? thanks for the help |
