The suppressor on my recently purchased X Bolt 7mm WSM is designed to cut recoil by 1/2 and noise by 2/3rds.
It is amazingly efficient at doing both. The integral s/s muzzle brake in the suppressor is guaranteed for 20,000 rounds.

Interesting as a suppressor cuts noise while a muzzle brake increases it.

I have never heard of a suppressor reducing recoil before?

I am guessing if gases are not being blower out, the force is less?

There was a fellow over in New Zealand who put a suppressor on his .22-250 and it allowed him to spot his own shots. Usually, that is not possible due to muzzle jump.

Suppressors have been on every rifle at every LR school I have attended.. all were chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor ( you may have heard of that caliber?? ) anyway, I was easily able to spot my shots at all distances.. out to 1400yrds at the last one..
