I posted this to see the response.. seems fairly unanimous.. people hate them when another shooter is using one nearby --at a range, etc..

Personally I don't use them.. have lots of big boomers.. 300RUM, 338RUM, 375RUM, 416's 458's.. I refuse to hunt with one.. will not wear ear plugs while hunting.. if it becomes too much in terms of recoil one day, I will switch to a lighter caliber.. probably a 6.5 Creedmoor... Rumor has it, that is the best caliber EVER..
