Controlling muzzle rise is a good thing for a hunting rifle. Hard to argue against that, especially when it can be done at reasonable cost and negligible adverse effect on the shooter or others.. IMHO, the main reason for a muzzle brake is to reduce recoil and with the fact that type device usually raises the noise level and side blast, both the shooter and others nearby may be adversely affected. Answer to ?, it depends. |
