Interesting. I have a custom made brake on my .375/06IMP. Yeah - I hear you, that rifle shouldn't need one.
Since I'm pretty much shooting only 300gr. now & that is what the 'brake' is tuned for, I like it. Much easier to shoot and the muzzle hardly rises during the recoil.
