Interesting, but my Ruger 77 Tanger .338 win mag stays!

It shot Winchester 230 grain Fail Safes in Africa (all one shot kills, including a huge Eland bull) and caught up to an escaping 6x6 elk in Colorado- 210 Noslers. I have never hunted anything that requires the 250 grain bullets.
It is sighted in with a trajectory same as my Model 70 .308 165 grain ammo. I do not recall the muzzle velocity, but do have a mental image of the trajectory out to 300 yards.

So, all the minute details aside, it remains my top medium bore.
