Friend of mine here in Darwin started a "collection" of the Savage Model 23 rifles several years ago.

Believe it or not, the .22 versions are the hardest to track down in Oz. He acquired the Model 23A just last year, and still hasn't found an unmolested 23AA to complete the set of five.

Igorrock: Bit of a task rebarreling a Model 23 as the action and barrel are a single unit!
They're a great little classic in their own right and if the bore is good you will not be disappointed. Congrats!
