You are exactly correct.. I have 2 45/70's.. along with 100 others I don't get enough time to shoot
, but yes, out on a horse ride.. you can have a 500 on your hip.. or can throw the same caliber carbine in a scabbard and use a rifle.. or take both..but one ammo..
