Talk of Ruger bringing back the Marlin 1895 made me think of my Winchester Model 1873. I'm the proud owner of a splendid Winchester M1873 chambered in .38-40. I bought it back in March of this year. Here's a crappy phone picture of it taken on April 5, 2021 at my shooting bench. This was my first time shooting the rifle. Here's a 50 yard target I shot that day: My rifle was made in 1891 and remains in excellent condition. It really does shoot well. I haven't tried one of the Italian copies, but I'm glad they are being made. Please, those of you who have a Winchester 1873, whether it be original or Italian, post photos on this thread. Let this be "THE OFFICIAL MODEL 1873 THREAD." Curly |
