My 7x64 bolt action rifles and 7x65R kipplauf; perfectly suited to any hunting situation on "usual" Western European game.
For any larger European game such as elk (none in my area) and brown bear (fully protected in my area) I would go for 8x68S or 9,3x74R, depending on hunting situation.
