6 pounds + scope, so a 7 lb. .308 or 6.5 PRC through .30/06 wouldn't be bad.
The magnum cases, no thanks.
A friend of mine has an older Savage .300WinMag that is very light - 7 pounds with scope, he says. It is brutal to shoot at the range until he had a brake made for it. Now of course it weighs a tich more and is some 2" longer.
