I was going to joke how much is my Rem 788 clunker worth and see a Rem 788 .222 bolt is worth the same as I paid for the whole rifle in 1982 or thereabouts. ie $200.

I have to say I would rather spend $2000 on an old vintage Sako like a L461 Vixen, a Finnbear or the other models. Rather than the modern rubbish at similar inflated prices people are paying for the modern crop of rubbish.

Walnut stocks for a start not plastic cheap arse rubbish. Well made actions and barrels, better designs. Not made for economy.
