Is the 461 a two-piece fore-end like the L-46?

Bit of Aussie Top End trivia:
the two previous owners of mine, Kurt Mussiger and Eric Rhinelander, used it on buffalo pretty regularly in the good ol'days. The old trick of getting them to look to the side a bit, and shooting them in the eye.

I still have a partial box of the bullets they loaded specifically for the purpose: Speer 55gr FMJ #1045.
Long gone from the catalogue by the looks, but Speer still do a 55gr TMJ apparently.
Not recommending the practice of course, just sayin'...
