Friend of mine had a custom made .35 Whelen on a M98 with handlaid fiberglass stock. I had to re-bed the stock for him to get it to shoot his demanded sub 1" @ 100 meters. His horse lay down on it on a hunting trip, breaking the stock through the wrist, but didn't bend the barrel nor hurt the Leupold scope. I restocked it for him with a Boydboys laminated stock & bedded that one. The weight was increased and turned a hard kicking gun into a pleasant one to shoot. It also looked better. |
