A decently strong action in .45/70 will easily duplicate my .458 2". We did this with an Siamese Mauser I barreled up for a lad.
350gr. 2,296fps
400gr. 2,150fps
500gr. 2,060fps
All with the same load in each bullet weight using either H335 or IMR4320.
