Mike is spot on. My bro really likes the .44-40. Presently using Buffalo-barn bullets, I think. For BP loads, he's casting his own.
The .45 Colt is slightly more powerful, if that is a consideration and sightly easier to load for.
Trail Boss works fine, in both.
