Wouldn't this MG only be sensible if all the common rifles also were upgraded to 6.5 mm?
And yes, the Swedes had it right, with the original a hundred years ago.
From what I hear, read, etc.. several of the "specialists" are being switched to the 6.5CM for many of the reasons mentioned in the article you posted on 6.5CM vs .308
