I went shooting here this last weekend with a Pedersoli 1886 in .45/70.

The load was 46,5grain N130 + 400grain hardcast. That load was a smoking load and with easy extraction. That load could finish a cape buffalo. The recoil wasn`t a .450Nitro...but it was up there.
