Harold only made one .50. He never called it "the .50 Alaskan", just "the Fifty". He never even quite finished it! Harold Johnson left Alaska many years ago and started Alaska Diesel. He was over in Seattle the last time I talked to him which wasn't too long before his death. Super personable, funny and very curious. He didn't like the .348 at all. Mostly blamed the bullets. The piece I wrote is in the August-September edition of HANDLOADER magazine, page 86.
