Igbal; You are a very lucky man that you stuffed the .25-06 in the .270 and not vice versa, because you could been seriously injured. Since the bore diameter for a .25-06 is .257" there was no problem for the bullet to travel done the bore a of .270 with a bore diameter of .277". You could have hopefully not been able to chamber a .270 Winchester round in a .25-06, if you could, on firing the result would be disasterous. You must taken very serious precautions if you reload using brass resized to a caliber different from the headstamp on the case. I ahve reached the point where I only use brass with the proper headstamp for my handloads. I have had one too many close calls. Lynn Miller |
