The HS web site shows some higher grade timber but I’d expect to pay a premium on them. I liked the action and manual cocking system but overall found it a very bulky, clubby, piece. GRS stocks are available if you want to adjust the ergonomics. As far as traditional timber and steel straight pulls go the Heym SR 30 is still the pick of the bunch in traditional elegance but comes at an entry price of $4000 rather than $2500. The other sleeper is the Rossler Titan 16 but it does have a couple of plastic parts and a forward positioned bolt handle to upset purists. |
