Dude, was that with factory 405 gr JSP's going out at 1300 f/s or some hoary loads similar to the ol' Elmer Keith load of 405 gr Speer at 52 gr 3031? I learned to habitue myself to recoil using an old Marlin w/22" barrel back when they first came back out in one. After shooting that and the No.1's, the 375 and 458 didn't seem so bad after all.
