I used to own two 45/70 Marlins, but I matured and grew out of them. Neither of them fed so hot - the bullet noses would scrape a little on the edge of the chamber. Maybe the feeding has improved, as the Marlins I owned were made 25 years ago. Also, the triggers were awful, and the stock design accentuates recoil. I would much rather shoot a box of 470 NE shells in a double than a box of 45-70 in a Marlin.
